GUIDELINES ON HOW TO PREPARE POWERPOINT SLIDES

  • PowerPoint versions accepted are from 2000 to 2016 in 16:9 format
  • Hand in your PowerPoint presentation on preferably USB-Drive (USB-Stick) at least 60 minutes prior to the start of the session at the Technician.

The Technician will be in the back of the session room and is at your disposal. Please feel free to introduce yourself and inquire about anything you might need.

Slides: PowerPoint files only

Please note, only PC Window’s-based computers will be used during the Meeting, therefore if your presentation is created using a Mac it must be converted to a PC PowerPoint file before uploading/submitting. Please make sure that any Mac-specific fonts or symbols are converted to PC Windows-compatible fonts and symbols

Video Files: WMV, AVI or MPEG 4

Aspect Ratio: 16:9 (HD widescreen) Note. It is a wider format than previously used conventional format of 4:3. In PowerPoint please choose Page Setup and then Slides sized for: “On-screen Show 16:9”

Accepted Fonts: are the standard Windows fonts.

If you use a non-standard (e.g. scientific symbols) font with your presentation, you should supply this non-standard font separately with your presentation in the same folder.

Presentation file name: Surename_Presentation name_Version

If your presentation includes video or audio files, please ensure they are included within the folder you are submitting. Please also bring a copy on an additional USB stick with you onsite.
